Ingredients
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and cumin. Mix thoroughly to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken to the marinade, making sure each piece is evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl or transfer the chicken and marinade to a resealable bag. Refrigerate for 2–4 hours to allow the flavors to develop.
- When ready to cook, preheat your grill to medium-high heat, approximately 400–450°F.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess liquid to drip off. Discard the used marinade.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for approximately 5–7 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the chicken. Grill until lightly charred and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and allow it to rest for approximately 5 minutes to retain its juices.
- Slice the chicken into thin strips against the grain.
- Enjoy your homemade cilantro lime chicken!
